YAO Hairong is an undergraduate student in Electrical Engineering at City University of Hong Kong (Dean’s List, expected 2027). She is supervised by Prof. Ray Cheung, working on AI-powered UAV inspection systems with a focus on embedded deployment and model optimization. She has industry experience in computer vision and will join Simon Fraser University as a research assistant in summer 2026.
