Prof. Donald CHEN

Donglong Chen is Shenzhen Overseas High Level Talent. He received his Ph.D. degree from City University of Hong Kong in 2015. After graduation, he worked in the Central Research Institute, 2012 Laboratory, Huawei and TEG, Tencent, respectively, for four years. He joined the Division of Science and Technology in BNU-HKBU United International College as an Assistant Professor in 2019. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2022.

He has published more than 20 papers in prestigious international journals and conferences such as IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security (TIFS), IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computing (TETC), IEEE Transactions on Computers (TC), IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I (TCAS-I), and IACR Transactions on Cryptographic Hardware and Embedded Systems (TCHES). He serves as an associate editor for the well-known journal in cryptographic engineering, Journal of Cryptographic Engineering, and has been a committee member or program committee member for notable international conferences/summits such as ICA3PP 2021, FPT 2022, FPT 2023, ChinaSoft 2023, and Hong Kong RISC-V Day. He also serves as a reviewer for several renowned international journals, including IEEE TC, TCAS-I, TCAS-II, TVLSI, and TETC. He has led or participated in several funded projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation, key domain projects for universities in Guangdong Province, Huawei HiSilicon key projects, the CCF-Ant Research Fund, and the CCF-Zhejiang Lab Joint Innovation Fund. His main research interests are cryptographic engineering (hardware/software co-design), privacy computing, AI security, and medical image analysis.
