Congrats to Meng, Ashraf, and Jimmy on Paper Accepted in Neurocomputing!
Congrats to Meng, Ashraf, and Jimmy on their paper accepted in Neurocomputing (IF 6.5)!
Congratulations to Meng, Ashraf, and Jimmy for their paper “Memory-Efficient Neural Network Training via Gradient Compression through Continuous Basis Tracking” being accepted in Neurocomputing (Impact Factor: 6.5)!
This research tackles the critical challenge of memory efficiency in neural network training by leveraging gradient compression through continuous basis tracking — an elegant approach that reduces memory footprint without sacrificing model accuracy. The journey was not short: the work began in February last year, was submitted in September, and went through one round of rigorous revision and resubmission before earning its well-deserved acceptance. Special thanks to Prof. Ray and Prof. Yan for their invaluable supervision and guidance throughout the process, and to Ashraf and Jimmy for their wonderful teamwork and contributions. Keep up the excellent work!
