Congratulations to William on Receiving the Prestigious Future Talents Scholarship!

We are pleased to share that William has been awarded the prestigious Future Talents Scholarship of HK$100,000 from the HKSAR Government in support of his master’s study in IC Design Engineering at HKUST.

This scholarship is part of the Hong Kong Future Talents Scholarship Scheme for Advanced Studies (FTSS), which was introduced by the Government starting from the 2025/26 academic year. The scheme aims to attract more local students to pursue advanced studies in priority areas that are important to Hong Kong’s development, while also expanding the pool of high-calibre talent across different domains and reinforcing Hong Kong’s role as an international hub for post-secondary education.

The FTSS provides up to 1,200 scholarships each year to local students enrolling in designated taught postgraduate programmes at UGC-funded and self-financing universities. For the first two cohorts of the scheme, 1,000 of these scholarship places are allocated to taught postgraduate programmes at the eight UGC-funded universities, highlighting the strong competitiveness and significance of this recognition.

William’s award is an excellent achievement and a strong recognition of his academic promise and future potential in integrated circuit design. We extend our warm congratulations to William and wish him every success in his upcoming master’s study.
