We are thrilled to welcome Jeffrey Jinfa Hong as a Fall 2026 PhD student in the CALAS research group.

We are thrilled to welcome Jeffrey Jinfa Hong as a Fall 2026 PhD student in the CALAS research group. Jeffrey is already a valued member of the team through his work as a CALAS researcher, and his admission to the PhD program marks an exciting new chapter in his academic journey.

Jeffrey received his BEng in Electronic Engineering from Fuzhou University and his MSc in Electrical Engineering from the City University of Hong Kong. Over the past several years, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to research, with specialized interests in high-efficiency cryptographic hardware design and algorithm-hardware co-design.

It is especially rewarding to see a CityUHK Master’s graduate continue into doctoral study within CALAS. We are confident that Jeffrey will continue to excel and make impactful contributions to the group in the years ahead.

Jeffrey shared the following message: “I truly appreciate the warm welcome and kind guidance from Prof. Ray! It’s an honor to be a Fall 2026 PhD student. I look forward to working closely with everyone on our future research.”

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Jeffrey. We wish him great success in his PhD journey with CALAS.
