Please join us in congratulating Jimmy JING on the acceptance of his full paper, “Efficient Progressive Pre-training of Language Models by Aligning Model Growth with Dataset Complexity,” at the 2026 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics (SMC).
IEEE SMC is a flagship international conference in the field, and the 2026 edition will be held on October 4-7, 2026 in Bellevue, WA, USA. This acceptance is a meaningful recognition of Jimmy’s research effort and continued progress.
Jimmy also shared his appreciation to Prof. Ray and all CALAS members for their support and encouragement. He especially thanked Ashraf and Meng for their help on the paper, and noted that the team is extending this work toward a journal article.
