Congratulations to Fred on His IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics Paper Acceptance!

Fred’s paper, “A Deep-Learning Based Consumer Grade Smart Baseball Training System for Batting Performance Digitalization,” has been accepted to the IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics (Impact Factor: 9.9) after revisions!

Congratulations to Fred, a senior-year PhD student at CALAS and a former MSc student with distinction in Electrical Engineering at City University of Hong Kong, on this outstanding achievement.

Fred’s journey with the group began with his MSc studies, during which Prof. Ray Cheung supervised his EE6680 course project. After receiving his MSc degree in 2020, he continued his studies as a PhD student under the 3+2 PhD programme. Now in his fifth year of study, Fred has grown from a Master student into a productive independent scholar, and this acceptance is a testament to his dedication and development over the years.

Fred extends his sincere gratitude to Prof. Ray for his continuous support and guidance throughout his studies at CityUHK. Congratulations again to Fred on this well-deserved acceptance, and we look forward to his continued success!
