Welcome HKPFS Fellow Andy Yue Wu to CALAS in Hong Kong!

CALAS warmly welcomes Andy Yue Wu, Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) Fellow from Imperial College London, as he begins his PhD studies with the group.

We are delighted to welcome Andy Yue Wu to CALAS as a new PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Ray C. C. Cheung.

Andy received his MSc in Applied Mathematics from Imperial College London, where he was supervised by Dr. Estefania Loayza Romero, and his BSc in Mathematics and Statistics from Queen Mary University of London. He joins CALAS as a Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) Fellow, a highly competitive award established by the Research Grants Council of Hong Kong to attract outstanding PhD students from around the world.

His research interests include efficient edge AI, hardware–software co-design, and RISC-V–based systems. Although he has only recently arrived in Hong Kong, Andy is already well known to the group: he has regularly joined CALAS meetings over the past year, and his commitment to the lab has been clear from the start.

A warm welcome to Andy as he begins his PhD with CALAS. We look forward to the work he will do with the group.
