Welcome Issac to the CALAS PhD Family!
CALAS warmly welcomes Issac Chau, a CityUHK Local Talent Scheme awardee from HKUST with first-class honours, as he begins his PhD with the group.
We are delighted to welcome Issac Chau (Chau King Tsun) to CALAS as a new PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Ray C. C. Cheung.
Issac received his BEng in Computer Engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2025 with first-class honours. He joins City University of Hong Kong as a Local Talent Scheme (LTS) awardee for 2026/27, a competitive scheme that supports outstanding local students to pursue PhD study while developing their research as a Research Assistant.
His research interests include hardware architecture and cryptographic hardware acceleration. A warm welcome to Issac as he begins his PhD with CALAS. We look forward to the work he will do with the group.
