Welcome Jeffrey to the CALAS PhD Family!
CALAS warmly welcomes Jeffrey Jinfa Hong, who completed his MSc in Electrical Engineering at CityUHK and now begins his PhD with the group.
We are delighted to welcome Jeffrey Jinfa Hong to CALAS as a new PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Ray C. C. Cheung.
Jeffrey received his BEng in Electronic Engineering from Fuzhou University in 2022, and then completed his MSc in Electrical Engineering at City University of Hong Kong in 2023. After finishing his Master’s degree, he continued with CALAS as a researcher and now takes up this PhD position in the group — a CityUHK Master’s graduate staying on for doctoral study.
His research focuses on high-efficiency cryptographic hardware design and algorithm-hardware co-design, including hardware acceleration for post-quantum cryptography. He is already a familiar member of the lab, and this PhD marks the next stage of his work with CALAS.
