Abstract
Chips are ubiquitous, and AI seems omnipotent. Where are these chips? Where is this AI? Which is more powerful? This talk will share the recent chip technology progress, such as the advanced CPU, GPU, AI chip, the most powerful data centres, and the possible technology roadmap. More importantly, from the present challenges and dilemmas of various chip kinds, it will demonstrate the photonic chip's great potential and advantages.
Biography
Prof. He Jin is a full professor at Peking University and the Director of PKU Shenzhen System-on-Chip Key Lab. His primary research focuses on chip technology and EDA. He completed BSIM4.3.0, which accelerated society's entry into the nano-chip era, and BSIM-FinFET, which propelled the transition to the digital-intelligent chip era. Prof. He founded the "Youth China Chip Project" and proposed the "Chip-Intelligence Education" concept, a program that has now been implemented in over 100 primary and secondary schools across China.
